Transaction processing is the primary function of self-service terminals. In order to achieve the anticipated revenue from transaction fees, as many transactions as technically possible should be processed. Only a high capacity utilization of the self-service terminals and consequently a significant number of customer contacts at the terminal make the self-service channel interesting for CRM and one-to-one marketing. Only a self-service terminal that is always available and can therefore always be used by the customer increases customer satisfaction.
