This document gives an overview, which data are collected when using our website and what we use them for.
This data privacy statement refers to all data that are generated by the usage of our homepage. This includes connection data, data that your browser encloses when visiting the website and data that you send us by filling out one of our online forms.
We only collect personal data that you submit to us voluntarily by filling out an online form on our website (e.g. when registering for the SBS newsletter or our customer magazine SBS aktuell, or when submitting a contact request or an online job application). These data are exclusively used earmarked, so only for delivering the newsletter / SBS aktuell or processing your contact requests or application or in order to contact you in this precise context (e.g. in case of further enquiries or in order to provide you with organizational information that concerns you directly).
The data collected in the course of an application via the online form or e-mail will be irrevocably deleted according to the legal requirement.
If you are interested in our newsletter, your data are temporarily saved in a list. We send you an email with a weblink that you need to access to confirm your interest. Only after doing so we will add you to our mailing list. Unconfirmed entries in the list are deleted irrevocably after a certain time.

Emails are processed as such for means of communication to be able to respond to your needs. In addition we store the connection information your web browser encloses when you visit our website and accordingly the email communication that is exchanged between the mail servers involved. Connection information and data that are processed during your visit on our website are evaluated for statistics and if necessary used to solve technical problems. It is deleted irrevocably after a certain time. Only anonymized statistical data are retained.
For certain services we require so-called "session cookies". These are small bits of information in text format that your browser saves on the terminal device and that ensure that the connection truly comes from the specified browser. The life time of these cookies is limited to the duration of the browser session.
Our web pages can embed external videos. To keep control over the redirection, a click on the button in the preview image is necessary the first time. To make this additional step unnecessary on future visits, you can select the option to store a cookie with this information in your browser. This cookie expires after one year, unless it is renewed by further visits or deleted by you beforehand.
SBS uses no web analysis or tracking cookies.
To make our content cross-browser accurate, fast, and graphically appealing, we use script libraries and font libraries on this site. We also embed Youtube videos occasionally and display our company locations via Google Maps.
